Ella Sokoliuk, Executive Director of the Kryvyi Rih PLHIV Network office, presented the results of the HIV Services Sustainability Pilot in Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih raion. She focused on significant changes in the health system of Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih raion that helped to implement innovative approaches in the detection of HIV and provision of health care to PLWH and key populations.

The role of the USAID HIV Reform in Action Project in improving the health system in Ukraine, as well as in providing sustainable and quality health services for PLWH, was presented by Nata Avaliani. Based on the Pilot results in Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih raion, it was proposed to disseminate the Pilot best practices in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast. This, in turn, will increase access to HIV testing, contribute to the organization of care and treatment for PLWH, as well as to the integration of relevant HIV services in healthcare facilities providing primary care. Redistribution of services for PLWH among different levels of care will contribute to the efficient implementation of health reform in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Based on the results of the meeting, a decision was made to have an MOU between the Dnipropetrovsk OSA and NGO “PLHIV Network, Kryvyi Rih”.
